COCONUT FREE BODY CARE IS RARER THAN IT SHOULD BE
WE WANTED TO CHANGE THAT
Most natural body wash ingredient lists start with coconut oil.
Even if it's not listed, it's hidden behind cocamidopropyl betaine, or sodium cocoyl isethonate.
For most of us, that's fine. But if you're trying to avoid coconut, it's impossible.
COCONUT'S GREAT BUT IT'S NOT FOR EVERYONE
We use coconut oil in our Tallow & Honey body wash because it make excellent soap. But there are a lot of you out there that can't stand it. And you've told us. Many times.
Once we started looking, we understood the frustration. Finding a body wash without coconut or coconut derived ingredients is nearly impossible.
So we made one. This Olive and Aloe is the option that should have existed already.
WHAT WE USED INSTEAD
A coconut free soap base made from olive oil, babassu oil, aloe vera and skin conditioning botanical oils.
Olive & Aloe
Body Wash
Same philosophy.
A completely different soap.
Tallow & Honey is our rich, nourishing take on traditional soap. Olive & Aloe takes a different path. No coconut oil, no tallow, no honey. Still 100% organic and completely plant-based. The result is a silky, creamy body wash inspired by the olive-oil soaps of the Mediterranean.

What’s not in it
Five things we left out.
Coconut-free should mean coconut-free. That includes the coconut-based cleansers hiding behind less familiar names. We also skipped the lab-made extras most body washes use to foam, smell, and look the part.
No Coconut Oil
None. That was the whole point.
No Coconut-Derived Detergents
No coco-glucoside, coco-betaine, or sodium cocoate.
No Synthetic Foaming Agents
The lather comes from real soap, not foam boosters.
No Synthetic Fragrance
Scented with essential oils. That’s it.
No Artificial Colors
We don’t dye it to make the formula look prettier.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How's the lather?
It'll lather more than castile soap but not as much as most store bought stuff. The Olive & Aloe lathers slightly more than our original.
What's different from your Tallow & Honey Body Wash?
Olive & Aloe is plant based, coconut-free, and built around olive, aloe and babassu oils. Tallow & Honey remains the rich animal-based original.
Packaging
We only use reusable glass bottles. Yeah, it may be a safety hazard but we'll take that risk over toxic plastic any day.
Is Olive & Aloe better than Tallow & Honey?
Depends on your skin and what you want. We didn’t make Olive & Aloe to replace Tallow & Honey. We made it for people who wanted a plant based option or needed a break from coconut. We recommend keeping both on rotation ;)
Why not just remove coconut oil from the original formula?
Because soap formulas are systems. Swapping ingredients is doable but it might not be the best option.
Instead of forcing our original formula to become something it wasn’t, we started over and looked for the best combination of ingredients we could find outside of Tallow & Honey.
Is babassu related to coconut?
Nope. They're both from palm trees but entirely different families. The behave similarly though in soap which is why it's a great swap.
Is it safe for someone with coconut allergies?
It's formulated without any coconut or coconut derived ingredients. We do manufacture it in the same facility as our original though so if you're super sensitive we recommend a patch test.
Why prickly pear oil in a body wash?
It goes back to our entire mission of creating the world's best body wash.
Prickly pear is usually saved for tiny, expensive face serums. Putting it in something you rinse off is not the financially responsible decision. We did it because we cared more about the conditioned after-feel than hitting the cheapest possible formula cost
Are all the ingredients organic?
Yes every single one of them. We just can't put organic on the label because we haven't been USDA or Oregon Tilth certified yet. It's a process.
Can I wash my face with it?
Yes! You'd be dumb not to. It's great at removing makeup without leaving your skin tight.
Just be careful around your eyes. It's a real soap so it's not tear free.
Does in come in the same scents?
Not yet! But we might roll out some new scents soon. We started with unscented since most coconut allergy sufferers probably use unscented anyways.
Should I buy the Tallow & Honey or Olive & Aloe?
Can't go wrong either way. The ONLY answer is to get both.
The Tallow & Honey has more scents available so if you're big on scent go with that one.
The Olive & Aloe has some premium ingredients (babassu, prickly pear oil) that aren't in the original. We think it makes a difference.
